Privacy Policy for Tip Tap Attack

This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you play Tip Tap Attack (the “Game”), how it is used, and the choices you have. The Game is published by John C. Menvielle, doing business as JoCliMe (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

Summary

  • The Game does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, or other personal details.
  • Your game in progress and your settings stay on your device. If you're signed in to Google Play Games, your tokens, unlocks, stats, and piece and board choices are also backed up to your Google Play Games account.
  • The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects some information from your device to show and measure ads.
  • If you buy Remove Ads or tokens, the payment is handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.

Information stored on your device

The Game saves the following on your device only:

  • Your game in progress, so you can continue later
  • Your stats (games played, wins, losses, and game times)
  • Your settings, such as sound, vibration, piece colors, and board style
  • Your tokens, what you have unlocked, and a record of your token purchases
  • Whether you have bought Remove Ads

This information is not sent to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the Game or clear its data, except for the copy kept by Google Play Games if you use cloud save (below).

Google Play Games (cloud save)

If you're signed in to Google Play Games on your device, the Game signs in to it automatically. You can also sign in from Settings > Cloud Save in the Game. Signing in is optional, and the Game works the same without it.

While you're signed in, the Game saves a copy of your progress to your Google Play Games account, so it comes back on a new device or after you reinstall:

  • Your token balance, tokens earned, and a record of your token purchases (so each purchase is added only once)
  • What you have unlocked
  • Your piece colors, board, and knock-off choices
  • Your stats

This copy is stored by Google in your Google Play Games account. We don't receive it and can't see it. Google Play Games also lets the Game know which Play Games account is signed in, and Google collects some information about how you use its service, as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

You can delete the Game's saved copy, or your whole Play Games account, from your Google Play Games profile or in the Google Play Games app.

Advertising

The free version of the Game shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, AdMob may collect information from your device, including:

  • Your device's advertising ID
  • Your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location
  • Information about your device, such as its model, operating system, and language
  • How you interact with ads, such as views and taps
  • Diagnostic information about how the app and the ads perform

Whether ads are personalized to your interests depends on where you live and the choices you make:

  • In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, the Game asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from Settings > Privacy Options in the Game.
  • Everywhere, you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device's settings. On most Android devices, go to Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads).

Information collected by AdMob is handled under Google's privacy policy. To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

If you buy Remove Ads, the Game stops loading ads, and AdMob no longer collects information through the Game.

Purchases

Remove Ads is a one-time purchase, and packs of tokens can be bought any number of times, all through Google Play. Google processes the payment, and we do not receive your name, payment card, or billing details. The Game only receives confirmation of each purchase, with a purchase reference. It uses these to remove ads and unlock Premium features (including on a new device), and to add each token pack to your balance exactly once. Purchases are handled under the Google Privacy Policy and Google Play's terms.

The Game uses Unity's in-app purchasing service to talk to Google Play. See the Unity Privacy Policy.

Crash and performance data

If the Game crashes or stops responding, Google Play may collect technical information (such as your device model and the error details) and share it with us as anonymous reports. This helps us fix problems. It does not identify you.

Children

The Game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, contact us and we will help address it.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not collect personal information ourselves. The third-party services described above (Google AdMob, Google Play, Google Play Games, and Unity) receive information as explained in their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, or to opt out of personalized advertising. Because we do not hold personal information about you, most requests are best directed to the services above. You can also:

  • Change your ad consent choice in Settings > Privacy Options in the Game, where available
  • Opt out of personalized ads or reset your advertising ID in your device settings
  • Delete all Game data on your device by uninstalling the Game or clearing its data
  • Delete the Game's cloud save, or your Play Games account, from your Google Play Games profile

Security

Your game data is stored on your device and protected by your device's own security. If you use cloud save, the copy is sent to Google over an encrypted connection and kept in your Google Play Games account. Information collected by third-party services is protected under their security practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
